About Us

The Yellowknife Book Cellar, the most northerly full-service bookstore in Canada, has proudly served the Northwest Territories and Nunavut for over thirty years.

Our award-winning store provides ordering service for schools and libraries, book fairs to remote locations, and active support for Territorial literacy programmes. Special orders have gone from a long-established six to eight week delivery period, to service in ten days or less; in some instances we can provide 24-hour delivery, a remarkable feat given our remote location. We produce a northern book list, and mail books worldwide.

Our customers come from all parts of the world. Returning customers benefit from our “Bookworm” rewards programme.

We have access to state-of-the-art data bases enabling us to research customer requests promptly. Out-of-print requirements can be referred to antiquarian specialist partners.

Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday 9:30am to 8:00pm

Saturday 9:30am to 6:00pm

Sundays 12:00pm - 5:00pm

Holiday hours will be posted at the store.
